This policy sets out how Rarestay uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website. Rarestay is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. Rarestay may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. This policy is effective from August 1st 2017 and is being updated regularly.

Collection of information
We may collect information such as:

a) contact information including name and email address;
b) demographic information such as postal code, preferences and interests; or
c) other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers.

What we do with the information we gather.
We require this information, in particular, for internal record keeping and to understand your needs and improve the Rarestay website. In addition, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes.

We may contact you by email or phone.

We will not disclose any information to third parties unless the following applies:
a) if we sell any or all of our business to a third party, in which case we reserve the right to transfer all information collected through this site to the new owner;
b) where we are legally required to disclose information; or
c) fraud protection.
d) storage of your data on physical servers or cloud computing services provided and managed by third parties, such as Google or Rackspace.
e) use of your data within a SaaS (Software as a Service) cloud provided by third parties such as Mailchimp (see below), Vero or Google.
f) matching your email address to that registered with Facebook or Google for display advertising using their Customer Match (Google) and Custom Audience (Facebook) services.

Email Marketing
We notify our members and subscribers about services and products via email marketing platforms. Users can subscribe through an online form processed by MailChimp directly or some subscriptions may be manually processed by us.

All details are taken in compliance with Spanish Laws. When we send emails, we’ll sometimes track who opened the emails and who clicked the links. We do that to measure our Email Campaigns’ performance and to improve our features for specific segments of our subscribers. To do this, we include single pixel gifs, also called web beacons, in emails we send. Web beacons allow us to collect information about when subscribers open the email, their IP address, their browser or email client type, and other similar details. We use the data from those Web Beacons to create reports about who has or hasn’t opened emails or clicked links.

We require users to register their email address in order to make enquiries or to use the site in other ways (such as saving a “wish list”). By registering your email address with us you are giving us consent to send you marketing emails. In compliance with Spanish Spam Laws subscribers are given the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time through an automated system. This process is detailed at the footer of each email campaign.

Transactional Emails
We also will send “transactional” emails relating directly actions you make – such as sending an enquiry. An example of a transactional email is a confirmation notice containing a copy of the message that you sent to a property owner. As these are not “marketing emails” you cannot unsubscribe from such transactional emails, but you will only receive them when you perform such an action.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Rarestay includes links to third party websites over which we have no control. These websites should have their own privacy policies which we recommend you review. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies whatsoever.

Controlling your personal information

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible at We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
